The New Zealand National Waka Ama Team clinched victory at the Samoa 2023 IVF World Distance Championship, powered by the exceptional performance of our new Tai HIKU paddles.

Designed for performance

In designing the Hiku, our focus was on increasing stability and hold in the water. To achieve this, we made several adjustments. We increased the blade offset to 15˚ while maintaining the same entry angle as a Broadbill design, moving the blade further into a pulling position. The V on the power face to create an even split for the water, providing the blade with more stability. The Hiku blade design, paired with our new full composite double bend shaft, forms a great combination.
